About the Honda Acty
Honda placed the Acty's engine mid-ship under the cargo bed rather than under the seats. The layout puts more static weight over the driven rear axle, which owners consistently report as better traction on loose surfaces, and gives a flat cab floor. The trade-off is service access: jobs like a timing belt are more involved than on a Carry or Hijet.
Generations
Chassis codes identify generation and, on most makers, drivetrain. Import eligibility depends on build date rather than generation, so a single code can straddle the boundary.

Reading the code
Odd-numbered chassis codes are 2WD and the next even number is the 4WD equivalent (HA3 → HA4, HA6 → HA7 is the exception to watch).
